Obituary

Abram Robert Nepa, 87, Johnstown, passed away on November 10, 2025. Born on July 26, 1938, to the late Anthony Nepa and Mother Rose Blanchetto Nepa, Cresson, PA. Preceded in death by loving wife, Lesile Ann (Collins) Nepa, and brother, Stephen Nepa. Survived by son, Noel Nepa and wife, Kimberly (Clark) Nepa, Seward, PA; grandsons, Nicholas Nepa and fiancé, Samantha Zeiders, Harrisburg, and Lucas Nepa and wife, Sierra (Widmar) Nepa, Dilltown, PA; brothers, Ronald Nepa and partner, Fred, Jacksonville, FL, and Thomas Nepa and wife Karen Nepa, Cresson, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Retired early from Penelec in 1995 with the sweet 5-5-5 Deal / Started out as a Lineman then Surveyor and finished his career in Contractor Services at various power plants and hydro dams throughout the Penelec system. He always talked about the old crew he worked with: Lefty, Zimmy, Geno, Jerry, Frank and good friend Khilji.

Abe especially loved spending time with his grandsons and would help anyone in need. He loved animals and would feed the family pets Lucky, Gemma, Penny, Petey and Liam. He was a huge animal lover. He would feed deer, squirrels and birds in the neighborhood. Special thanks to his neighbors Ronnie and Carolyn for always keeping an eye on Abe and helping him with daily chores and good friendship. Abe also loved old nascar days with yelling at Dale Earnhart while cheering for Jeff Gordan and Harry Grant as his favorite drivers.
