Obituary

Katancik, Alice L., 85, Davidsville (formerly of Johnstown), went to be with the Lord June 16, 2017 at Laurel View Village. Born August 16, 1931 in Johnstown, daughter of the late John and Mary (Petrusky) Sirokman. Preceded in death by her parents, her son George F. Kane, her daughter-in-law Patricia Kane, and several siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, George F. Katancik Sr., her children, daughter Nancy Dessy, Florida; son Jim Katancik and his wife Cynthia, Oregon; 4 grandchildren, her sister Margaret Powell, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice enjoyed gardening and sewing. A graveside committal service will be held on Tuesday June 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown. Deacon Samuel Cammarata Officiating.
