Obituary

Loya, Alice Ruth, 76, Johnstown, died June 10, 2017 at her home. Born May 15, 1941 to the late Walter and Ruth (Teeter) Blasic. Survived by son, Ronald “Red” Loya; daughter, Brenda married to Brian Rozum; sisters, JoAnn married to Jim Hare; Ruth married to Rick Stiffler; grandchildren, Nick, P.J., and Brett; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Carol married to Larry Heming. Alice worked for the state of New Jersey and then Bethlehem Steel before retiring from Johnstown American Corp. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates. Alice’s greatest joy came from her family and she always put them first. Friends will be received at 11 a.m. on June 15 at Forest Lawn Cemetery for a graveside service.
