Obituary

Fry, Barbara A., 82, Johnstown, passed away at home on August 5, 2024. Born October 19, 1941, to the late Robert and Lillian (McCreary) Moose. Preceded in death by husband, David E. (Woody) Fry. Survived by children, Wendy Guleyupoglu married to Suleyman; Nevin Fry married to Kimberly; and grandchildren, Erol, Aydin, Lily, Megan, and Julia, all residing in Virginia. Barbara had a long career at Penelec and later MetLife. She also enjoyed being an administrative assistant at Forest Lawn Cemetery and Bethany United Methodist Church. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her five grandchildren. One of their favorite hobbies was playing board games together. At Barbara’s request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m Saturday September 28th at Calvary United Methodist Church. Donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to the American Red Cross.
