Obituary

Yesh, Barbara Jean “Bobbie”, 84, Johnstown, passed away August 31, 2025. Born January 15, 1941, at her family’s home, where she then resided her entire life. Preceded in death by parents, John and Mary (Rzeszutek) Yesh; infant brother; and sister, Dorothy Gibson. Survived by brother, John Yesh (Irene); brother-in-law, Eugene Gibson; nieces, Carol Gibson; Becky Routsong (Mike); Christine Gibson; great niece, Leah Routsong; and numerous cousins. Bobbie was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. She worked for many years at McKee’s Market and then 30 years in the dietary department at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Bobbie was old time Johnstown and enjoyed Alwine’s Ice Cream, Dunny’s Barbecue, Clark’s Hamburgers, Harry’s Pizza, Harris-Boyer Gobs, and Yost Raisin filled cookies. Special thank you to loving niece, Carol Gibson and brother-in-law, Eugene Gibson for all they did for Bobbie. Family will receive friends Friday September 5th from 10 a.m. until time of mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 120 Barron Ave., Johnstown. Conventual Franciscan Friars, officiating.
