Obituary

Demento, Bernice, 87, Hastings, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013, in Hastings, PA, her birthplace. She was surrounded by family and will be dearly missed. She was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Martin) Gresco.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George E. Demento, daughter, Marcia Demento, son, Ed Demento and daughter, Valerie Demento and husband Ric Jorgensen; five grandchildren, Guy Torrey, Laura Everett and husband Travis, Daniel Torrey and wife Chelsea, Allison Klugh and husband Jeff, Stacey Hero and husband Jochiam; six great grandchildren, Willow, Audrey, Nathan, Ava, Tugg and Lilly.
Bernice was a devoted homemaker. She provided her family by canning hundreds of quarts tomatoes and garden vegetables, countless cookies and homemade bread and unforgettable spaghetti sauce.
Bernice enjoyed birding, gardening, drawing-painting, and knitting. She spent her summers in Glacier and Acadia National Parks and many winters in Albuquerque, NM
A funeral mass will be held at 11am Wednesday, St Bernard Catholic Church.
