Penrod, Beverly A.,79, died June 26, 2013 at Lee Specialty Care, Johnstown, PA. Born September 13, 1933 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charles W. and A. Mildred (Leaper) Sowerbrower.
Preceded in death by husband Thomas L. Penrod, siblings William Leaper, Marjorie Seminsky, A. Dean Sowerbrower, Fredrick J. Sowerbrower, Raymond Sowerbrower, Doris Sowerbrower, infant siblings Charles and Janet Sowerbrower, and stepson David Penrod. Survived by sons, Charles (Susan) Sowerbrower, W. James (Natalie) Penrod, stepchildren Roger (Patricia) Penrod, Calvin (Vida) Penrod, Sharon Peterson, Linda Snyder, Beverly Penrod, widow of David, Kenneth (Rebecca) Penrod, Thomas N. Penrod, Dwayne (Kathy) Penrod. Also survived by grandchildren Bethann Penrod, Katheryn Penrod, Justin Sowerbrower, Miranda Sowerbrower, siblings Shirley Leaper, widow of William, Edward (Evelyn) Sowerbrower, Sherry Sowerbrower, widow of Raymond, Mary Margaret “Peg” (Clayton) Irish, Judith (Daniel) Ritchey, Ronald (Patricia) Sowerbrower, Donald (Deborah) Sowerbrower, Linda, widow of Frederick, Dolores Sowerbrower, widow of A. Dean, numerous stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Member Morrellville Church of the Brethren. Viewing will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 on Sunday June 30 at Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., where service will be held at 11:00 am Monday July 1.
