Obituary

Bobbie Jean Johnson, 97, passed on May 30, 2026. Born on August 3, 1928, to the late Andy and Myrtle (Wilson) Anderson. Preceded in death by loving husband, Milford R. “Jake” Johnson, and brother, Andy Anderson. Survived by daughters, B. Darlene Horten (Robert) and Sandra Huchel; granddaughter, Laura Lynn Huchel; sister-in-law, Sarah Anderson; 1 niece; 2 nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Bobbie was a member of Alma Lodge 523, William F. Packer Encampment 127, Lady Evelyn Rebekah Lodge 22, and the former Lower Yoder Ladies Auxiliary. She was a faithful member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. Bobbie was also a Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Bobbie’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Windber Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobbie’s honor to Bethany Presbyterian Church, 228 Blaine St., Johnstown, PA 15906.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 2:00 until 6:00 at Hindman Funeral Homes, 146 Chandler Ave., Johnstown, PA 15906. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 10:00, at Bethany Presbyterian Church. Bobbie will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery.
