Obituary

Duda, Carl David, 55, Johnstown, passed away December 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Born August 4, 1970, to the late Carl Duda and Jacqueline (McLain) Bartlett. Preceded in death by grandparents, Carl and Jennie (Park) Duda, and stepson, Shawn Riffle. Survived by wife, Cathy Duda; son, Samuel Duda; sisters, Candace Duda Trest; Donna Hoffman (Howard); and in-laws, Leon and Brenda Arnold. Carl proudly served in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Army until an injury in 2012, forcing his retirement. There was nothing Carl loved more than his country and family. Carl enjoyed playing and listening to music, The Walking Dead, and watching football and hockey. His greatest enjoyment though came from spending time with his family, especially his son, Sammie. Carl was a fun, heart of gold kind of person, who would help anybody in need. He will be deeply missed.
