Obituary

Carol Ann Hancharik, 66, Portage, passed away peacefully at home on September 4, 2025.  Born on January 2, 1959, in Windber, to the late Andrew and Viola (Zabrosky) Hancharik.  Preceded in death by her sister, Mona Toth, and brother-in-law, Jeff Toth.  Survived by her sister, Mary Harkcom (Randy) of Central City; brother, Michael Hancharik (Greg Crede), Tampa, FL.; niece, Emily Harkcom (James Glass) of Hollidaysburg; nephew, Mark Harkcom, Johnstown; niece, Amy Zarnesky (Mike), Windber; great niece, Kylee Graffius (Jason), Windber; great nephew, Tyler Lybarger (Makayla), Windber; great great nephew, Paxton Graffius; great great niece, Enslee Graffius; caregiver and best friend, Christine Stone of Portage; and her beloved cat, Lily. Carol loved her family and loved enjoying time with them!  She loved cooking Slovak food. She brought happiness and joy wherever she went. There will be no viewing but a funeral mass will be held at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 604 Graham Ave., Windber, PA 15963, on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:15am with Father Lacovic.
