Obituary

Fern, Carole R., 82, Salix, passed away November 10, 2023. Born December 21, 1940, to the late Roy and Virginia (Barefoot) Hoffman. Also preceded in death by sister, Norma Rice.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Charles Fern; daughter, Cindy Mattingly; grandsons, Brendan (Alexa)Mattingly and Jesse Mattingly; Great grandchildren, Egypt, Ameera, and Riley; brother, Roy “Butch” (Janet) Hoffman; and many nieces and nephews.

Carole loved baking, searching family genealogy, spending time with her family and helping others. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. There will be a memorial service at Salix Bethel Church at 11am. Saturday November 18, 2023.
