Obituary

COLEMAN – Dale P., 73, East Taylor Township, died August 5, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 1, 1937, in Franklin Borough, son of John R., Sr. and Ida Mae (Locher) Coleman. Preceded in death by parents; brothers: John, Jr., Edward, Charles, Ronald, and Alfred; and sisters: Rita Ann and Patricia. Dale was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by three loving children: son, Dale Coleman, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Cindy (Hornbake) Coleman of Poquoson, VA; daughter, Connie (Coleman) Forte and son-in-law, John Forte of Johnstown, PA; and daughter, Karen Coleman of Athens, AL. Dale was a loving and devoted grandfather to his twelve grandchildren: Jacob, Zachary, Molly, Rachael, and Connor Coleman; Joshua Malfer and Lauren Forte; Amanda and Lexi Motel; and Ashley, Zachary, and Jacob Forte. Dale is also survived by sisters-in-law Shirley Coleman and Nancy Coleman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was employed as a crane operator for 43 years at Bethlehem Steel/Franklin Borough, J-Pitt Steel and Republic Steel. Dale had a great love and devotion for his family, and his presence will be missed deeply. At Dale’s request, there will be no viewing. Friends and family will be received from 2 – 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at the Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel. A memorial service will be held from 3 – 4 p.m. at the same location for those wishing to stay or attend. Private inurnment for the immediate family will be held following the memorial service.
