She is survived by brother, Michael Haschak (Sandra), and sisters Dr. Judith Figura, and Sharon Streletz. Dani, as she was affectionately called, was a devoted aunt to John and Dr. David Haschak, Julianne Groetsch (David), Dr. Andrew Figura (Laura), Adam Figura (Nicole), Maribeth Kirk (David), Gregory and Christia Streletz, and Alissa Kissler. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and lifelong friend, Marguerite Wesolowski. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana State Teachers College (now IUP). After college Dani relocated to Pittsburgh where she spent most of her life and taught elementary school for Gateway Union School District. After her teaching years, Dani spent a large portion of her time working at West Penn Hospital, mostly as a secretary and receptionist for the school of nursing, where she was loved by all the nursing students. Dani’s spirit was artistic and unique. She was musically inclined and enjoyed playing piano. She also loved painting, arts, crafts, she wrote beautiful poetry and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. Dani’s loving kindness to others will be deeply missed by her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Danella’s family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the administration and staff of Laurel View Village where she spent the last several years of her life. They are a very special community.
