Obituary

Bragdon, David H., 79, Johnstown, passed away on November 30, 2024. Born January 3, 1945, to the late Floyd H. and Dorothy S. (Whipple) Bragdon. Preceded in death by his nephew, David A. Bragdon; brother-in-law, Joe Robinson; and aunt, Betty Darr. Survived by wife, Alice Wilson Bragdon; children, Letitia Lorence (Doug) and Patrick Bragdon (Olivia); grandchildren, Hayley Jones (Jackson), Camryn Lorence, Jack Lorence, Cooper Lorence, Patrick Bragdon, and Porter Bragdon; great-grandchildren, Presley, Ellie, and Mac Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; and siblings, Jeff Bragdon, Dr. Robert Bragdon, and Sue Robinson. Dave and his best friend, John Pattison, were partners in the Washington Street Journal restaurant. He was an avid golfer, collegiate tennis player, and was a huge Pittsburgh sports fan. Dave had a larger than life personality and was beloved by the many people he met at the Red Bull Inn, Washington Street Journal, Ladbrokes, Berkeley Hills Golf Course, and in his later years at the Tuck Shop at UPJ. He also coached baseball for both his children and grandchildren. Dave was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. A visitation will be held on December 28, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd.
