Obituary

Thomas, David Larry, 72, survived by his loving wife and Johnstown High School (Class of ’63) sweetheart of 51 years, Donna Reed Thomas; daughters, Allison (Adam) Hill and  Melinda (Derek) Dishong; grandchildren, Ella and Alex Hill and Laurel Dishong; his mother, Betty Thomas and brother, Barry (Donna Davis) Thomas; sister-in-law; Cathie Reed (Ron) Dietrich; brother-in-law, Eric (Debbie) Reed, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Clifford and brother Terry (Karen); father and mother-in-law, Allen and Barbara (Bungard) Reed. David served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He passed away peacefully following a traumatic head injury from a fall. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 18th at 2 p.m. at Jennerstown United Methodist Church, 1673 E. Pitt St., Jennerstown. In lieu of flowers, Donna is requesting that donations be made through Jennerstown United Methodist Church to support UMCOR, the humanitarian relief and development arm of the United Methodist Church.
