Obituary

Burkett, Delores M., 77, Windber, passed away on March 10, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 3, 1939, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Peter and Viola May (Jeffers) Bifano. Preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Anthony Bifano, Nicholas Bifano, Mary Jane Gula, Jenette Zechman, and Betty Brezensky. Survived by her husband Richard L. Burkett, her children, Richard A. Burkett, Denise M. Lehman (Joseph), Darlene M. McCallay (David); her grandchildren, Joshua Burkett and his girlfriend Katelyn Hartwiger, Jeff Lehman and his girlfriend Marisa Nelson, Jared Lehman and his wife Tessa, Anthony McCallay and his fiancée Jennifer Rightnour, Chelsey McCallay, and Ethan McCallay; her sister Shirley Wargo. Delores was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, planting flowers, going for walks in the park, going to the movies, and spending time with her grand puppies. She loved her husband, and appreciated all he did to take care of her. At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Windber Church of the Brethren Home, 277 Hoffman Ave. Windber, PA 15963.
