Obituary

Dianna “Diane” Lynn Hafer (McAdams), age 66 of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home. Preceded in death by her parents, Tom McAdams and Marion Zabala (Oswalt); stepfather, Andrew Zabala; brother, Andrew “Mex” Zabala; and stepson, Private First Class Ricky Hafer.

Diane was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her brothers, Bud McAdams and wife, Debbie; Ray McAdams; and Jim McAdams; her sons, Kenn Steiner & wife Cindy; Chuck Steiner & wife Brooke; and Anthony Boring. Diane was a proud grandmother to, Summer and husband Eddie; CJ and fiancée, Abby; Amanda; Dakota; Marion & boyfriend Amaurys; and Brandon. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Skylar, Kaiden, EJ, Maurice, Marie, Emberleigh, Asher and Andria.

She had a deep love for life’s simple joys. Diane was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a lifelong admirer of “The Wizard of Oz”. She found joy in its timeless magic. Diane had a passion for collecting glass unicorn figurines-a reflection of her whimsical spirit. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Those who knew Diane, remember her as a loving, caring and kind-hearted woman who would do anything for the people she cared about. She was always there to support her family & friends whenever she could be, a testament to the depth of her compassion and generosity. May Diane’s memory bring comfort to all who loved her. Her warmth & kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

Family will receive friends Friday March 13^th from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m., at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Pastor Nancy Hoover, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the funeral home or the family to help offset expenses.
