Obituary

Donald David Schad, age 83, passed away on April 30, 2026. Born June 29, 1942, to the late George and Rose (Dipirak) Schad. Preceded in death by his parents; wife of 36 years, Joyce A. (Vincent) Schad; brother-in-law, Edwin Nasser; and nephew, Jan Nasser. Survived by sons, Chris Schad, Quakertown, PA, John Scott (Deborah), Harrisburg, PA, and Kirk Schad (Keri), Green Lane, PA; step-children, Daniel Clark, Harrisburg, PA, Danette (Anthony) Migut, Johnstown, PA, Sheri Adams, Hillsdale, NJ, Nancy Henry, Colver, PA, Sandi (Rich) Pearl, Bordentown, PA; grandchildren, Karee Schad, Patrick Schad, Savana Schad, Nikolas Schad; step-grandchildren, Michele, Antoinette, Brenda, Clark, Benjamin, Kristi, Tricia, Alex, Hannah; great granddaughter, Korra; step-great grandchildren, Robbi, Hunter, Samantha, Elaina, Rhiannon; sister, Janet Nasser Olson, Cour D’Arlene, ID; brother, James (Norma) Schad, Adamstown, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donald proudly served in the USMCR for 8years. He was employed by Miler-Picking as a pipefitter and welder for 25 years. Donald retired from Thiele Truck bodies as a finisher welder. He was a member of Croatian Hall and Leo’s Pizzeria. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and working around the house. Donald will be laid to rest at St. Stephen Catholic Cemetery.
