Obituary

Cooper, Donald W., 79, New Florence, died April 27, 2015 at his home. Born May 9, 1936 to the late John and Mary (Boyer) Cooper. Preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Byron, and Edward; sisters, Dorothy Kyler, Mary Leone Hileman, Louella Wood, and Erma Hess; and granddaughter, Nicole Wagner. Survived by wife of 56 years, Eleanor “Peggy” (Galbraith) Cooper; daughters, Sue Wagner; Lisa Cooper; sister Loretta Brilhart; brothers, Harry and Bruce; grandchildren, Eric Wagner, (Sarah); Stephen Wagner; Jennifer Campbell, fiancé Chris Ellis; Amanda Campbell; great grandchildren, Lainee and Jacob Sensenig, and Harrison Wagner. Donald was a member of the United Methodist Church in New Florence and a veteran of the Army. He was a member of the Lions Club, the American Legion and an avid golfer at Champion Lakes Golf Club. Donald loved his family, family gatherings, and his special dogs, Sadie and Mia. At the family’s request there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday April 30th at the United Methodist Church in New Florence. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s or the Wounded Warrior Project.
