Obituary

McCabe, Dorothy A., 83, Johnstown, died Dec. 6, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born June 13, 1933 to the late Joseph and Anna (Dutko) Bezek. Preceded in death by husband, James; daughter, Ann McCabe; and brother, Joseph Bezek. Survived by daughter, Kathy Bondy; sister, Evelyn Szala and husband John; granddaughter, Erica Caldwell and husband Joshua; grandson, Brent Schellhammer and wife Julia; great grandchildren, Logan and Alaina Caldwell; Lucas Schellhammer; sister-in-law, Ruth Bezek; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a very active member of Church of the Visitation. She sang in the church choir and was part of the liturgical arts. Dorothy was a member of the Johnstown Symphony Chorus and YWCA. She also enjoyed going on Harley rides with her husband and the company of her many dogs named Mickey. Friends will be received Fri Dec. 9 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Sat. at Church of the Visitation. Father Curtis Kiddy, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
