Obituary

HUNTER – Douglas J., 45, Johnstown, died August 1, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 19, 1964 in Johnstown, son of Richard C. and Margaret F. (Mintcek) Hunter. Preceded in death by father.

Survived by mother, Johnstown, sons Zachary married to the former Krystal Jerley and Zane, all of Windber; sisters Karen Hunter, Johnstown; Jodi married to Larry Cekella Jr., Spring, TX and their children Larry III and Ashley and brother Scott Hunter and wife Jackie, Collinsville, VA and their daughter Holly Hunter. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Douglas was a 2000 graduate of St. Francis University, School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was an avid golfer, loved to cook and visit Vermont.

At the request of the family, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service Wednesday at 11am at the Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 1521 Frankstown Rd. exclusive provider of “Veteran’s and Family Memorial Care.” Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lucas Foundation, 140 Oak Street, Windber, PA 15963 or the family to help offset costs.
