Obituary

Leppert, Dr. John A., 88, Johnstown, passed away March 24, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 6, 1928, Johnstown, son of the late A.C. and Helen G. (Harvy) Leppert. Preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy A. Howard and Roselyn Leppert; and brother, Dr. Robert A. Leppert. Survived by his loving wife, Diane E. (O’Handley); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially Dr. & Mrs. S.D. Furnary. John graduated from St. Vincent Prep School and College, Latrobe and the National School of Chiropractic, Chicago. He practiced chiropractic for over 54 years and owned Leppert Chiropractic Clinic alongside his brother; he was very passionate about his work and was most dedicated to his patients.  John was very proud of his country and served with the 876 National Guard Unit. Member of the Porsche Club for over 54 years. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Diane, especially by ship. An avid animal lover, he will be missed by his cat, Micia-Penelope. At John’s request there will be no viewing, a memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate John’s life. In memory of John, remembrances may be made to Proclaim!TV Ministry, Cambria County Humane Society, or St. Vincent College.
