Obituary

Eugene E. “Gene” Miller, 67, formerly of Hastings, passed unexpectedly away December 26, 2023, in Lebanon, PA, joining his parents in their eternal home. Born September 4, 1956, son of the late Eugene “Pooch” & Evelyn (Wasilko) Miller. Gene is survived by brother, Steven J. (Mary Ann), Revloc; and sisters, Diane (Mike) Skrodinsky, Key West, FL; Linda (Barry) Cavallo, Hastings; and Alice (Chris) Stiffler; Baltimore, MD. Gene was a proud uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He worked various jobs until his retirement in July 2019 from Security Guards, Inc. in Reading, PA. Gene served honorably in the United States Army from July 1975- July 1978. He will be remembered most fondly for his love of family. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, celebrant, with inurnment at church cemetery. Military Honors by Hastings VFW. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gene’s memory to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042.
