Obituary

Holtz, Germain J., 90, Hastings, passed away Thursday March 9, 2017, at Haida Manor. Born August 8, 1926, in Susquehanna Twp.; Son of the late Isadore and Catherine (Anna) Holtz. Preceded in death by sisters, Mildred and Agnes, brothers William, David, and John. He is survived by his brother Henry, at Home; his sisters Eleanor Abbott of South Euclid, Ohio; Florence Smith of Sagamore, Ohio; three nephews, one niece, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Germain was a member of St. Bernard Holy Name Society. Germain served our country in the United States Army, and was a life member of the Hastings VFW Post # 1586. He spent many years as an accountant in Cleveland, Ohio; and he retired from Crown Zellerbeck in California. For several years he was spending the winter months in Florida. Friends and family will be received Monday, March 13, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 5p.m. at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Father Thaddeus Rettger Officiating. Interment will be at St Bernard Cemetery.
