Obituary

McKee, Gladys Virginia (Ross), 87, went to be with God from the loving care of Laurelview Village in Davidsville and formerly of Johnstowns West End. Born April 8, 1923 in Darlington, PA, daughter of the late Tillie and Charles Ross. Preceded in death by brothers and sister Richard, Charles and Lois Ross; son Richard G. McKee and nephew Leslie V. Ross.

Survived by husband of 68 years, Robert P. McKee; sons Robert Kim; Martin Dean and David Earl McKee; daughters-in-law Rose (Aragon) McKee; Natalie (Straitiff) McKee; Courtney Hill and Connie Ross. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Life long member of Grace EV Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the choir and support to the Council, Finance and Maintenance. Gladys graduated from Johnstown High School, Class of 1941 and an employee and manager for Penn Traffic and PT Stores as well as McKee’s Market.

Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Friday at the Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11am at the funeral home, Pastor Wes Yoder, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church in Gladys’s memory.
