Schmadel, Jacob (Jake) J. IV, 67, Johnstown, passed away at home on October 11, 2018. Born March 13, 1951 in Johnstown. Son of the late Jacob J. and Margaret (Chromy) Schmadel III. Preceded in death by parents; brother, David; and “Mom” Jane McCleester. Jake is survived by life-long partner, Pamela A. McCleester; brother, Dan Stone, Nevada; sister, Jeananne Schirato (Jerry), Windber; sister-in-law, Susan Schmadel, Windber; “Dad” Percy A. McCleester, Jr.; “in-laws”, Percy A. McCleester, III, Johnstown; Terry McCleester, Johnstown; Mark McCleester (Joann), Illinois; Ronald McCleester (Joanne), Johnstown; Linda McCleester (Larry), Johnstown; James McCleester (Michelle), New York; Barbara Heptner (Raymond), Johnstown; special nephew, Hayden Lucas; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Jake, previously employed by Bethlehem Steel, McCleester & Sons Tree Service, and Mountain Molding, enjoyed retirement; spending time with his family, gardening, and fishing with Hayden. Everyone knew Jake was an adult with the heart of a kid, he was in fact a “big little kid” who was often the center of entertainment for both the young and old.
