Brown, Jerry D. Sr., 67, of Strongstown, died September 9, 2014 surrounded by his family.Born August 23, 1947, in Johnstown; he was a son of the late Jack and Goldie (Wood) Brown.He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Peggy D. (Hill) Brown whom he married November 20, 1967; sons, Jerry D. Brown Jr.  of Strongstown; Jack D. Brown II (Anita J Stinson) of Mineral Point ; grandchildren, Justin, Danielle, Jadyn, Scott and Megan; great grandchildren, Adrian, Jacob, and Jordan; a brother, Richard Brown of Stewartstown.Mr. Brown was a coal miner at mines in Mineral Point and Ebensburg, he also worked for Bethlehem Steel. He was a US Army Veteran serving during Vietnam and a member of the Laurel Mountain Bible Church in Mundys Corner.
