Hanlin, Joan B., 79, Johnstown, passed away July 29, 2016 at home. Born December 15, 1936 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late James Sr. and Catherine Hess. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Nicole Hanlin; and daughters-in-law, Cynthia and Julie Hanlin. Survived by loving husband, Edward W. Hanlin; children, James Hanlin (William Tadlock), Houston, TX, Terry Hanlin (Kimberly Hott), Titusville, FL, Robert Hanlin, Johnstown, and Edward Hanlin, Johnstown; grandchildren, Ashley and Jason Hanlin, Johnstown; great granddaughter, Lydia Hanlin, Johnstown; and siblings, James Hess Jr. (Kathy), Watauga, TX, Robert Hess (Mary), Johnstown, Larry Hess, Johnstown, and Patricia Popolo (Mark), Johnstown. Joan was a devoted wife and loving mother. She also loved her grandchildren and great granddaughter very much. Joan lived her life with great love for her family and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Hindman Funeral Homes, 146 Chandler Ave. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, Celebration of Life Director, Wayne Ayer officiating. Interment at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
