Obituary

Fry, Joan C. “Boody”, 84, Nanty Glo, went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ in Heaven March 17, 2018. Born November 26, 1933 in Dilltown. Waiting at the Golden Gates of Heaven are her parents, Clarence Daniels and Kathryn (Dias) Daniels Frear; husband, Robert M. Fry; daughter, Judith (Fry) Gillen; sister, Mary Jane Malakos; son-in-law, Robert D. Hegedus; grandson, Robert J. Hessler; and beloved pet, Penny. Beloved mother of and survived by Sandra L. Patrick (David), Vinco; Sharon L. Hegedus, Daisytown; and son-in-law, Fred Gillen. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Lou Nelson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Fry Schneider (Ed); brother-in-law, Randy Fry (Connie); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends; and beloved pet, Jungle Jane. Joan loved life, her family, and friends. She was a generous woman with a loving heart. She will be missed by all. Retired from dietary from Ebensburg Center and Conemaugh Memorial. A special thanks to all our caregivers, grandchildren, Heather and Bill Naugle; and Chris, Janice, and Anita. Joan had a gracious heart and compassion for all who needed it.
