Lichon, John D., 79, Johnstown, passed away suddenly February 28, 2024. Born November 9, 1944, in Buffalo, NY, to Joseph and Angeline (Stoj) Lichon. Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Anna Lichon; brother, Joseph Lichon; and sister, Dorothy Brennan. Survived by loving wife of 45 years, Josephine “Jo” Lichon; children, Joseph Lichon, Texas; Jason Lichon (Tracy); James Lichon (Kerrie), Buffalo NY; Brandi Querry (Jim), Johnstown; Edward Przybysz, Thailand; Stanley Przybysz (Brenda); John Przybysz (Becky), Buffalo NY; Andrew Przybysz (Stacy), Erie PA; Donald Przybysz (Allison), Johnstown; siblings, Sylvia Solar; Patricia Fiegiel; Robert Graham, all of Buffalo NY; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. John retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1995 after over 30 years of service, and from Gautier Steel in 2008 after 10 years of service. John was extremely proud of his 46 years of sobriety. He was an avid golfer and long-time member of North Fork Golf Club. He was also a member of the Bethlehem Steel bowling league and served as the secretary. Family will receive friends Sunday March 3rd from 3-7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where a service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Nancy Hoover, officiating. Committal to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family has respectfully requested no flowers.
