Obituary

Fox, John H. Jr., 85, Ebensburg, PA, passed away on April 25, 2019 at his son’s residence in Johnstown. Born August 14, 1933 in Brookeville, son of the late John H. and Rose E. (Ripple) Fox Sr.. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. (Polca) Fox; his children, Nicholas A. Fox, Stephen M. Fox, Kevin J. Fox; and his brother, Robert J. Fox. Survived by his children, James R. Fox (June), Johnstown; Kerri L. Fox (Darien), Bethel, Alaska; his daughter-in-law’s, Jenny Fox and Sue Fox; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. John suffered a stroke which required him to retire from Bethlehem Steel, after 39 years of service as a hot metal crane operator. John enjoyed 9 years of his life in Libby, Montana, before returning to Pennsylvania, and settling in Ebensburg at the Wise trailer community. He enjoyed traveling to Florida, and spending time with his family, and his neighborhood friends, especially his good friend Glenn Shelly, who was a big help to both John, and also to his family. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff and nurses of Windber Hospice for all of their wonderful care. At John’s request there will be no visitation or services.
