Obituary

Novosel, John J., 83, Johnstown, died October 21, 2012 at Golden Living Center, Richland.

Born January 3, 1929 in Derry Twp., Westmoreland County, son of the late Michael and Barbara (Golis) Novosel.

Preceded in death by brothers, Frank and George and sister, Margaret Grados. Survived by son, John and wife, Vicki, St Augustine, FL; daughter, Kathy Capatch, Windber and daughter, Mary Rose, married to Jesse Litzinger, Frisco City, AL; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Novosel and wife, Ann, Johnstown and special friends, Bill and Janet Killinger, Windber.

John was a shop steward for ACME Markets for over 30 years. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and a very avid bowler and avid football fan.

He was a loyal and faithful employee for many years at Pyramid’s Lounge after his retirement. His family was his life. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

At John’s request, there will be no viewing or service. The family suggests donations be made to your favorite charity in John’s memory.
