Obituary

John Skrodinsky of 410 Luzon Ave. Johnstown, PA, passed away at Concordia at Arbutus Park Manor on Saturday night, April 4, 2026.  He was 82 years old.  He was the son of the deceased John and Virginia (Dodson) Skrodinsky of Conemaugh, PA.  He is survived by his son, John Jr. of College Park, MD; his brother, Ronald of Lancaster, PA; and beloved in-laws, nieces, and nephews.  His sister, Nancy (Turner) of Conemaugh, PA, passed last February. He was a parishioner of Sts. Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church (Daisytown, Bon Air, PA).  He was an Air Force veteran. He lived many years in Mount Joy, PA (Lancaster Co.) with his late wife, Shirley, where he was employed by Black and Decker and the Donegal School District.  His favorite past times were trying his luck on the slot machines, Tuesdays with the boys at McDonald’s, dinner with family at Coulter Ave., and browsing for cars.  He was deeply loved and will be missed by all.  There will be a memorial mass held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11:30 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 120 Boltz Street.
