Obituary

Furfari, Joseph, 79, Johnstown, died May 24, 2019 at Laurelwood Care Center. Born April 20, 1940 to the late Dominico and Margaret (Pollino) Furfari. Preceded in death by siblings, Mary and Pete Furfari. Survived by wife, Debra (McMillen) Furfari; children, Anthony, Michael, and Anne Furfari; and siblings, Agatha Chero; Theresa Furfari; Rose Sida married to Robert; and Domenick Furfari married to Gloria (Rock). Joseph was a fantastic accordionist who taught many students how to play. Him and his brother Pete, formed the Skylarks band in the 70’s and entertained many throughout the area. Joseph was a gentile person who loved his family and always had a radiant smile on his face. Friends will be received Thursday May 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Mass will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John Gualbert Cathedral. Interment will be held privately.
