Obituary

Bifano, Joseph C. Sr., “Biff”, 95, Johnstown, died July 10, 2013 at home. Born June 2, 1918 in Johnstown, son of the late Anthony and Mary (Saia) Bifano. Preceded in death by wife of 66 years, Dorothy M. (Beltz); brothers, Pete; John and Domenick Bifano and sisters, Anne Tomaselli and Carmela. Survived by children, Linda, married to John Villa, Pittsburgh; Cheryl Lightcap, Nanty Glo; Dixie Lhota, Cleveland, OH; Jodi McAlister, Johnstown, who was a special caregiver and Joseph Bifano Jr., Johnstown; brother, James Bifano, Colorado Springs, CO. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Biff was a US Army veteran and worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved watching golf. He will always be remembered for being the greatest storyteller and remembered as a caring and hardworking father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. At the request of the deceased, viewing and burial will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
