Obituary

Joseph Michael Pizur, 64, passed away on July 10, 2025. Born on December 26, 1960, to the late Michael J. and Virginia I. (Loman) Pizur. Preceded in death by sister, Patricia Hausler. Survived by loving spouse, Cynde (Peles) Pizur; children, Melissa (Shane) Semelsberger, Marybeth (Greg) Faught, Danielle (Ryan) Hull, Michael (Erika) Pizur, Brandon Pizur, Eric Pizur, and Gabrielle (Joel) Legars; grandchildren, Makenzy and Jade Semelsberger, Chloe (Michael) McCarthy, Gracey, Emma, Alexis, Lauren, and Julia Faught, Sydney and Chase Hull, Kaydence, Kaylee and Dylan Pizur, Cedric Pizur, and Liam and Harper Legars; great grandchild, Lilian McCarthy; step children, Brittany (Cody) Marshall, and Gabby and Brayden Peles; ex-wife, Colleen (Baker) Pizur; brother-in-law, John Hausler; niece, Elisabeth; and nephew, Michael. Joseph was a member of the Hastings Firemen’s Club, Hastings VFW, American Legion in Barnesboro, Rembrandt Club, Slovak Club and the Bragger’s Club. He enjoyed going to work every day, cooking and golfing. Joseph was the proud owner of the Hastings Bottling Works. He always looked forward to seeing his beloved customers and served numerous communities surrounding Hastings. Above all else Joseph adored his family, seeing his children and grandchildren as his legacy. He loved nothing more than being a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 12:00-3:00 and 5:00-8:00 at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver Street, Hastings, PA 16646. A service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 10:00 also at the funeral home. Joseph will be interred at North Barnesboro Cemetery.
