Obituary

Sakso, Joseph, 95, of Johnstown, passed away December 22, 2020 at Arbutus Park. Born October 29, 1925 to the late Mike and Theresa (Edeline) Sakso in Johnstown. He is preceded in death by parents; and loving wife of 61 years Julia (Martinec) Sakso. Joseph is survived by children, Joseph and Patricia Sakso, of Tallahassee, FL; Rebekah Basquette, of New Haven, CT; and Rachel Sakso, of Santa Monica, CA; and granddaughter, Lexy Basquette of, Boston, MA. Joseph was a WWII US Navy veteran on Underwater Demolition Team and served in the Pacific. He loved to travel and workout at the YMCA. His final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery.
