Obituary

Love, Joy Lee, 87, Somerset, formerly of Johnstown, passed away June 28, 2026, surrounded by family. Born March 15, 1939, to the late Michael and M. Mae (Adams) Krett. Preceded in death by loving husband, James R. Love Sr., and sister, Nancy. Survived by children, Rodney B. Seitz (Janet); Stephen Seitz (Mia); James R. Love Jr. (Julie); Cynthia Love; Amanda Love; grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Stephen, Seth, Mason, Joseph, Jordan, Brennan, and Avianna; great grandchildren, Rex, Rowan, Leila, Jacen, and Atlas; and many extended family members. Joy was an animal lover. She especially loved greyhounds and was very involved with Nittany Greyhounds, fostering and adopting many dogs over the years. She was also very active with Therapy Dogs International. Joy was a longtime member of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Cathedral, where she sang in the choir for many years, and more recently a member of Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Christian Church. She loved acting, singing, and gardening. Joy also enjoyed camping and winery trips. Family wishes to thank Windber Hospice for all the compassionate care they provided to Joy. Friends will be received Wednesday July 1^st from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Father Miles Zdinak, officiating.
