Obituary

Bunn, Judith C. “Judy”, age 67, surrounded by her family, went peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday August 7, 2019, following a six-year-long long and courageous battle with cancer. Born October 7, 1951 to the late Fred C and Elizabeth S.(Pat) (Rupert) Bunn, Judy was a long-time resident of Huntingdon. She is survived by her two loving daughters Cassie Bunn and Terri Bunn, both of Huntingdon. Judy was a proud Grandmother to Eric, Dorian, Tiffinie, Brent, Aislynn and Keely as well as a great-grandmother of 6. She is also survived by her brother, Robert C Bunn Sr. of Altoona and sister, Gina Hoffman of Saltillo, along with 4 nieces and 2 nephews and her long-time devoted friend and care- giver Edwina (Em) Desjardins of Canada. Judy was a graduate of Huntingdon High School, was previously employed at Fiberglas and Goodwill, and retired as a care-giver. Judy lived life to its fullest. For her many friends, she will always be remembered for her boisterous laugh and talent on the drums. She especially enjoyed travelling with her friend Em, making frequent trips to Canada, Las Vegas, and various places. Judy’s three favorite things were “her Steelers,” spending time with family and Em, and her cat Sox. The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the wonderful care and help given to Judy by Home Health Care , Family Hospice , Fox Chase Cancer Center ,and the Lance and Ellen Shaner Cancer Center State College. A private memorial, followed by a celebration of life for her friends, will be held at the family’s convenience.
