Obituary

Kathleen Ruth Rosian, 88, of Hastings passed away February 18, 2024 at Haida Healthcare, where she had resided for the past 8 years. Born June 28, 1935 in Hastings; she was a daughter of the late Henry and Bertha (Kirkpatrick) Rosian. She is also preceded in death by an infant brother, Vincent Rosian; sisters, Grace Rosian and Louise Julick. Survived by a sister, Emily Rosian of Everett, Washington; a brother, Leo Rosian of Willard, Ohio; nieces, Joyce Mitchell, Cheryl Callahan, and Barbara Sieger; nephews, Joseph Rosian, Brian Rosian and Edward Julick; and many great nieces and nephews. Throughout her life Katy worked at Hastings Cleaners, the Van Heusen Shirt Factory, and Warnaco in Altoona, where she retired from. She also cleaned homes. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St Bernard Catholic Church. Growing up she lived on a farm in Hastings and enjoyed picking berries, gardening and flowers. She also liked playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, and cooking.  She will be remembered for being very generous, and her homemade salad dressing and lettuce. There will be no viewing. Burial at St. Bernard Cemetery.  Arrangements in care of Easly-Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
