Obituary

Hilbrecht, Larry A., 80, Johnstown, passed away March 22, 2018. Born March 21, 1938 to the late Albert and Mary Jane (Diamond) Hilbrecht. Preceded in death by brother, Rick Hilbrecht. Survived by wife of 55 years, Patricia (Sottile); children, Amy Wess married to Patrick; Chris Hilbrecht married to Shannon (Herlinger); grandchildren, Abigail Wess and fiancé Philip; Caleb and Claire Wess; Nathan and Owen Hilbrecht; brothers and sisters; Barry Hilbrecht married to Carol (Messler); Shirley (Roberts) Hilbrecht; Ron and Nancy Sottile; Helen and Ron Chilcot; Carmen and Mary Sottile; sister-in-law; Shirley (Roberts) Hilbrecht; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other friends and family. From sport shooting at Daisytown, Jerome, and Tirehill to trout fishing, Larry kept active. Thursdays meant the card club with his loyal friends Wally, Mary, Phil, and Don. Summers brought Michigan road trips for the annual cornhole competitions, reading on his back porch, and welcomed visits from his pal Bob Shrefler. Larry worked at Bethlehem Steel and then for Richland School District. Friends will be received Saturday March 24 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m., at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd.
