Obituary

Wainwright, Larry Ellwood., 80, of East Taylor Township, passed away March 3, 2023. Born November 6, 1942, in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph Ellwood and Edith Louise (Bowers) Wainwright. The world lost a beloved husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend. Larry passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jacqueline Joyce (Snyder); children, Sherry Grove, Brenda Paserba, and Larry Wainwright; grandchildren, Sarah Stiffler (Daniel Angus), Kala Ebaugh (Justin), Devin Paserba, Cody Wainwright, Jason Grove (Emily), Megan Grove and Katie Grove; great-grandchildren, Jase and Benjamin Angus, Khloe Ebaugh, Marley Wainwright, Ayden and Mishka Paserba, Lily Grove, and Zack and Zane Beamer. He is also survived by his sister, Janice Wainwright and the Bower’s family in Cleveland, Ohio. Larry graduated from Johnstown High School and worked for 40 years as an electrician at Bethlehem Steel. In his free time, Larry was either found in the garden or operating his ham radios, his call sign was WB3FXE. Most of all he loved being with his sweetie pie, Jackie. He was the most kind, compassionate, and loving man. Larry will be greatly missed by all. The Wainwright family would like to give special thanks to the palliative care staff at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Services will be held at a later date.
