Obituary

Hildebrand-Puch, Leona “Chub” Mary, 93, of Vinco, passed away January 10, 2025, at Horizon Personal Care – The Villa Crest. Born March 31, 1931, to the late Bernard and Bertha (Mentzer) Glass. Leona is preceded in death by husbands, Joseph Puch, and Forrest “Hildy” C. Hildebrand. Her brothers, Clinton, Paul, Clifford, Richard and Kenneth Glass; sisters, Delores (Carpenter), Irene (Karnosky) and Frances Glass; and Special Friend, George Claridge.

Survived by children, Rhonda Jones (Sherwood “Chip”); Stephen Hildebrand (Tammi), and David Hildebrand (Kimberly). Her cherished grandchildren, Heather Donahue (Brian), Tiffany Farmer John), Ashley Milone (Anthony), Tricia Fisher (James), Lauren  Cordwell (Greg), Shawn Hildebrand (Jessie), Gage Hildebrand (Lacey) and Bailey Hildebrand. Her adored great-grandchildren, Caelan and Anna Donahue; Ryan, Ian, and Lilly Farmer; Jocelyn, Colton, Lucille and Eva Milone; Jacob Fisher; Taylor (Kayley), Keshia Kline, Kenlee, and Travis Cordwell; Leah and Alex Hildebrand; and great-great-grandchildren; Paisley and Jaxton Cordwell.

Leona worked as a seamstress at the dress factory in Nanty Glo up until its closing. She retired from Riverside Markets as a Deli Manager. She was noted for her candy making, especially her peanut butter meltaways. She enjoyed gardening, casino bus trips, travelling with her friends and spending time with her family. Leona was a devout church member and saw the good in everyone. A loving Mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver to all. She will be sadly missed more than words can ever express. Leona was a member of St. John Vianney Church. A funeral mass will be held on January 21, 2025, at 10am at St. John Vianney Church, 3513 William Penn Ave, Johnstown, PA 15909.
