Obituary

Linda Kay Brosius, 82, Johnstown, passed away on September 11, 2025. Born in Johnstown on May 24, 1943, to the late Clarence and Kathryn (Horner) Gillin. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Carrie Sue; twin sons; granddaughter, Kayleigh Brosius; and brothers, Wayne and Dennis Gillin. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Walter Brosius; children, Kristy, Douglas (Janice), Eric (Dena) and Megan (Tim Oakes); and grandchildren, Tyler, Isabella, Tanner, and Sydney.

Linda was trained as a registered nurse and worked at Lee Hospital and in private service at the beginning of her career. Alongside her husband, she ran their business, The Kitchen Gallery, for more than 45 years. She loved her family, friends, her dogs, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and playing bingo. Linda was a member of the Home Association of Johnstown BPO Elks Lodge 175.

There will be a memorial gathering held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10am to 12:30pm at Hindman Funeral Homes, 1521 Frankstown Road. In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts, please consider a donation to the Humane Society of Cambria County, St. Jude’s, or a charity of your choosing.
