Obituary

Delehunt, Margaret J. (Wood), 85, Ebensburg, passed away on June 6, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born April 8, 1937, to the late Ernest and Christina Wood of Nanty Glo. Preceded in death by husband, John W. Delehunt; son George R. Ressler; brothers, Thomas and Ernest Wood; sister, MaryJane Childress and partner of 36 years, Donald Gray. Survived by daughter, Sally A. Burke (John), Ebensburg; siblings, Carole Hockenberry; Andrea Reed (Robert); Ellen Dinsmore (Robert); grandchildren, John R. Burke (Mandy); Heather L. Girolami (Mathew); great grandchildren, Hailey, Gianna, Ariana, Katie, Dylan, and Ethan; great great grandchild, Nash; special niece, Debra Thomas; and grandpuppy, Jaxson. Margaret loved sitting on her porch watching her hummingbirds. She was adventurous, always traveling somewhere throughout her life. She was loved by many and will be missed! A private service will be held at a later date at Pike Brethren Cemetery. Donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to the American Heart Association.
