Obituary

Paronish, Margaret “Babe” – 91, Hastings, went to be with Lord on Thursday April 20, 2017, at Cambria Care Center. Born December 12, 1925, in Spangler; she was a daughter of the late Michael and Pearl (Vito) Sereda. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George Paronish; her siblings, Pete Sereda, Ann Vislosky; her half siblings, John Torcarchick, Joe Torcarchick, Andy Torcarchick, Nick Torcarchick, and Katherine “Katie” Madejchick. Margaret is survived by her children, Barbara Thrush (Merill), George Paronish (Dawn), Donald Paronish (Diane), Ronald Paronish (Joyce), Paul Paronish (Maureen), and Nicholas “Nick” Paronish (Denise); 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Margaret enjoyed doing crafts, knitting, crocheting, decorating Ukrainian Easter eggs, and quilting; she loved playing bingo, and enjoyed watching her grandchildren during their Easter egg hunts. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a good friend to many people.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends and family will be received on Sunday April, 23, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St., Hastings, PA 16646. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday April 24, 2017 at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Northern Cambria. Rev. Andriy Kelt, Officiating. Interment will be in St. Benedict Cemetery, Carrolltown. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at St. Benedict Manor, Cambria Care, and Kathy and Amy from hospice, for all the loving care they provided.
