Obituary

Singleton, Mary J., 90, Johnstown, passed away August 12, 2016 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  Born Portsmouth, OH.  Daughter of the late Robert and Hazel (Clarke) Cullen.  Preceded in death by her parents, her husband John S. Singleton, her siblings, Robert Cullen, John Cullen, and Isabelle Nagle.  Survived by loving children, Ellen Singleton (Richard Burkert), Johnstown; Susan Molyneaux (Bruce), Forest Hills, PA; Bonnie O’Donnell (Thomas), Chalfont, PA; grandchildren, Rachel Garrard, Erin McKee, Emily Fries, and Lauren Lazzari; great grandchildren, Molli Lazzari, Maggi Lazzari, Miller Lazzari, Sarah Garrard, Hannah McKee, and Amelia McKee.  Mary was a devoted wife and loving mother.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mary was a volunteer at the Cambria County Library, Johnstown Area Heritage Association, and Allegheny County Meals on Wheels. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Allegheny Lutheran Home, 807 Goucher St. Johnstown, PA 15905, Pastor Peter Helmers officiating.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s memory to the Johnstown Area Heritage Association,The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, or the Allegheny Lutheran Home. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Allegheny Lutheran Home, for the compassionate care they provided for Mary. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
