Obituary

Dove, Mary Vanessa, entered eternal rest on March 4, 2026, at Maple Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center, after a strong and courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. Born November 4, 1958, in Colver, PA, daughter of Betty and Leonard Yahnke. Granddaughter of Mary and Otto Yahnke. Married to Charles Dove, all of which preceded her in death. Survived by sisters, Elizabeth Tozzini (Dennis), Carlisle, PA; Deborah DeGretto (Michael), Colver, PA; Melissa Stockstill (Todd), Memphis, TN; Rebecca Weibel (Alex), Coraopolis, PA; brother, Charles Yahnke (Karen), Colorado Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in social work. She worked for Cambria County Children and Youth. Mary enjoyed the many activities and social events at Maple Heights, formerly Cambria Care. At on time she was the president of the resident council. Mary’s family extends their deepest thanks and appreciation to the Grane Hospice staff, her special CNA Barb, and nurses, Michelle, Megan, Amanda, and Samantha. Also, thank you to the staff and CNA students at Maple Heights for their care and friendship, as well as Mary’s adopted sister and best friend, Janice. Mary was always full of thanks for the care she was provided. Her parting words to all her caregivers – “Thank you, you are the very best”.
