Obituary

Vogel, Mary “Honey”, 94, Johnstown, passed away January 19, 2025, at Windber Hospital. Born December 26, 1930, to the late John and Helen (Stopp) Sipe. Preceded in death by husband, John Vogel; infant brother and sister; sister-in-law, Marilyn Sipe; and brother-in-law, William Bigam. Survived by brother, Donald Sipe; sister, Doris Bigam; son, John R. Vogel, Jr.; 2 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was raised in Krings and was a 1948 graduate of Richland High School. Mary was a former nurse at Conemaugh Hospital for 25 years. She was also an active member of the Salix Bethel Church. Mary will be sadly missed by family who she dearly loved and loved having over for the Holidays. She had the cutest giggle and the brightest smile that could light up anyone’s day. Mary will also be missed by her devoted dog Sophie. There will be no viewing at Mary’s request. Donations may be made in her name to the Salix Bethel Church, 1021 Forest Hills Dr, Salix, PA 15952.
