Obituary

Keifer, Mildred “Millie”, 84, Johnstown, passed away January 15, 2025, at The Villa Crest. Born February 11, 1940, to the late Charles and Camilla (Hite) Shafer. Preceded in death by loving husband, Carl “Buck” Keifer Sr. Survived by son, Carl Keifer Jr. and wife Francine; grandsons, Carl Keifer III, Jerry Keifer (Kristie Watson); great grandson, Carl IV; sister, Jane Sprecher; special friends, Francis, Marlene, and Apryle Truscello; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Millie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a member of the Cover Hill Ladies Auxiliary, where she was voted as a Cambria County Delegate. She was very active within her community, helping to organize various programs over the years. She particularly enjoyed partaking in the Cover Hill dart and bowling league. Millie cherished spending time with her family and treasured the friendships she made over the years. A special thanks is given to the Villa Crest Nursing Home and the tender loving care she received from the nursing staff. Millie will be deeply missed. Family will receive friends Saturday February 1st from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. The Rev. Michael A.
